Awi (subclan of Agawu) people’s song in Ethiopia

Awi
Centuries ago, ancestors of the modern Awi ruled northern Ethiopia under Queen Yehudit, who imposed Judaism on the Ethiopians. Today the Awi live near Bahar Dar in northwest Ethiopia.
